The current manger of this nursery condoned and tolerated racist and illegal behaviour of one employee Claire Flynn. (Just google her name if you have no idea about it, its on the news). We are no longer in that point in history (thank god) but apparently some people still are in the mindset that being of colour is simply a costume (see blackface) or freakish. (see the fact that the mother dressed the child up as a black person for HALLOWEEN). I encourage you to search for another nursery in your area. Surely a different environment is so much better for your previous child than this racist, uneducated and disgusting place.I feel so bad for any women or men of colour that currently send their children here. No one should have to withstand this in this day and age.
Having removed my twins after refusal to give pain relief (Calpol) and being told it was 'not their policy' to administer to a teething 14 month old child, or for a child to be at nursery if they had been given Calpol/medication that day. It has forced my hand to contact Ofsted about many other concerns regarding this child care setting. Having paid full fees and being called out of work on multiple occasions every month to collect your "apparently sick" child (when returning them home to be fine) and getting false information regarding them having chicken pox or ear discharge, has resulted in moving my children from this money hungry establishment who definitely want over 1,000 per month from you, but take every opportunity to send your child home sick for an easier day no doubt. Two of the staff were kind and caring, but the responsibility and attitude of the nursery in general is particularly alarming for a parent entrusting their child to be looked after in safe hands. If I could give less than 1 star ..... I would!
When we were looking for a nursery place for our 1 year old son, we decided on Happy Feet Day Nursery because of the friendly staff and convenient location. Our little boy has now been there for 3 and half years! The staff have got to know him very well and he has made lots of friends with the other children. We would definitely recommend Happy Feet to any parents looking for a nursery daycare place for their pre-school children.
Lovely Staff, Lovely Nursery. My Son Seems to be comfortable there with no issues.
